8J. Procedure if no Inquiry Officer appointed.

The procedure prescribed in the aforesaid rules shall, mutatis mutandis, apply when the ⁵[Chief Commissioner or the Director General himself] conducts the inquiry without appointing an Inquiry Officer.]
